I decided to try to step away from being in front of the camera and try being behind it instead. I found a lovely model and a fantastic location so we went for it. It was interesting. When I take photos of my son I snap away and hope I get one where he is looks okay (curse of the always moving toddler) but actually directing someone was . . . well a bit weird to be honest. I've done a lot of modelling over the years and posing to me was quite natural. Giving directions wasn't! I felt so bossy! Luckily Stacey was amazing and put up with my awkwardness well.
We used the very cool Steam and Model Railway club at Heritage North as our photo location. The blokes that run it were lovely and I was so grateful they allowed us to use not only the train stations but their cute little steam engine too. Heritage Park is attached to the Whangarei Kiwi North Museum. It was my first time visiting and didn't really know what to expect, so I was very pleased! I'm 98% sure all the gorgeous dresses the model is wearing are from Lindy Bop BUT I am notorious for my terrible memory!
